As a business owner you know that one of the biggest keys to your ongoing success is the people in your business, having the right people, getting them to do the right things, at the right time.  Easy… right?  If only that were so!

One of the biggest issues facing Small & Medium sized
Enterprises (SMEs) is navigating complex industrial relations laws and managing staff and contractors. Too many small
business owners spend too much time dealing with people process and problems at the cost of growing their business.

Sharpe Workplace Solutions (SWS) is a progressive, client focused consultancy business that partners SME’s to ensure they can manage their often time consuming industrial relations and human resource risks.  SWS prides itself on making real connections with its clients by ‘walking in their shoes’ thus ensuring the best possible workplace support can be provided.

Jay Sharpe is the Director of SWS and commenced his career in Industrial Relations & Human Resources over 18 years ago as an Industrial Advocate appearing before the industrial tribunals & courts on a regular basis across Australia.  Combined with his years of conciliation and litigation experience Jay has gained a wealth of practical human resource experience through supporting a range of organisations small, medium & large in dealing with their day to day ‘people problems’.

Come join the Dalby Chamber of Commerce and the team at SWS for a Masterclass on how to manage some of your key industrial relations & human resource risks:

Key Risk # 1—Compliance

  • Industrial Relations 101
  • Employee v Contractor
  • Awards & Employment Contracts
  • Time & Wage Record Keeping

Key Risk #2—Managing Conduct, Capacity & Performance

  • Unfair Dismissal
  • General Protection (Discrimination/Rights)
  • Injured & Ill Employees
  • Bullying & Harassment
